Popsicles, rain and Hot Wheels

Dan had his first popsicle today. I bought some Otterpops and let him have half of one. He didn't seem to mind the coldness, he really liked the sweetness. They should be good treats for him every once in a while. He was a good boy in church today, not screaming through Sunday School and Relief Society like last week. He discovered the little boy next to us had Hot Wheels cars and spent a good portion of RS playing with them.
We've been through our first monsoon rain here in Sierra Vista. Locals says this is the latest it has ever started. It rained REALLY hard and hailed, about marble-sized hail. We had quite the river running down the parking lot and in the wash next door. Daniel was fascinated by the rain running down the sliding glass door. The thunder doesn't bother him - in fact we put him down for a nap in the middle of the storm and he slept through half of it. It was pretty cool how much rain came down in such a short time, especially considering it was a gorgeous, cloudless day earlier. Welcome monsoon season!
