Halloween 2005

We had a fun second Halloween with Daniel. We spent the day in Idaho, getting things from Grandma Powells house. On the way up I stopped by my old work (Herff Jones) with him in his costume. Everyone said how big he was getting, and loved his costume. He loved to jingle the bells on his jester hat. So when we walked around, he would be jingling the bells (either that or trying to put his finger in his nose!). I gave him a sucker to play with on the way to Clifton from Logan. I looked back and he was eating the paper, so I took it off, put on a bib, and let him have at it. He sucked on it for a little while, but didn't quite get the hang of swallowing all of the yummy juice that came off it. So his bib is brown now. He ended up eating the entire thing though - and loved every bit of it. All that was left was the stick and a few tiny crumbs under his chin.
When we got home from Idaho we dressed him up again and took him trick-or-treating. He wasn't too sure at first, and cried at the first house. But he gradually warmed up to the whole idea of getting candy from people. By the end he was more than happy to take a piece from their bowls. We went only to people we knew, and stayed and visited at a few houses. His costume was a big hit. Everyone loved it. We got home past his bedtime, but I think that the night went well.
Tomorrow is our big ultrasound with Baby #2. I hope we find out what we're having so we can stop calling the baby "it". Of course, Gary calls it "she", he thinks it's a girl. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
