Shelly had her baby today. Tyler Jeffrey Krammer was born at 12:41 pm weighing 4 lbs. 11 oz., 17 inches long. He was born at Salt Lake Regional Hospital. She had a checkup this Wednesday, after not seeing her doctor for three weeks. You are supposed to go in every week during your last month! He kept cancelling because he had babies to deliver. He should have have someone cover for him, or have her be checked by a nurse at least. But anyway, at her appointment on Wedneday the baby hadn't grown any since her last checkup, and she hadn't dilated or effaced any. So he scheduled her for tests on Thursday. Thursday they find out her amniotic fluid is at 4.45 cm - WAY below what it should be (I think it's supposed to be a 10). So they admitted her to the hospital to be induced. Her Dr. figured out she has an unfavorable cervix, and tells her she may have to have a c-section. They induced her this morning, without an epidural. The pain got to be too much for her & the baby thoughand she still wasn't dilating, so they went to a c-section. The surgery went well and Mom and baby are doing fine. We went and saw her and the baby this afternoon. He is so tiny - but beautiful. I think he looks like Shelly with Jeff's nose. He has a lot of dark hair. We're going back on Sunday. I'll get better pictures then I hope. He was under the heat lamps the whole time we were there today.
