Helpful

Daniel has become very helpful and is learning his manners quite well. He loves helping me by taking things to the garbage. He also knows the difference between recycling and garbage - he will take something to the recycle basket if you tell him to recycle it. He is also getting very regular at saying thank you. He will almost always say it when you give him something. He will also say it almost all the time when he gives you something! You have to pay attention when he hands you a cup and says thank you. That means he is finished with his drink and if you don't take it, he will dump it. Dan is also very friendly. I don't think I've met a friendlier kid. When we go shopping, or are anywhere with other people really, he will say Hi to anyone and everyone. And if they don't respond, he will keep saying Hi until they do! He is very willing to go up to older men (who look like grandpas) and visit with them. I am sure he would happily go with anyone who wanted him. That scares me a little, hopefully he will grow out of that part! He sure does have a lot of fans though - the female checkers at Bukoos love him, as do some checkers at NPS. A lot of the regular Bukoos customers love him to - they may not know my name, but they sure know his!
Tomorrow will be a busy day. I'm hoping to get most of my errands for Dan's party done in the morning before it gets too super hot, then do the food prep I need to at home in the afternoon. I can't believe he is almost two! He is growing up so fast.
Congrats to Gary's neice Tammy and her husband Craig. They welcomed their second child, a girl on June 29. Her name is Kyrah Aleace Beal. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 20 inches long.
Welcome to the world! Here is a photo of her and her big brother Jayden.
