This weekend we attended the Price Family Reunion. My Grandma on my Moms side is one of 15 Price children. There are only 5 still living.
They held the reunion at Bear Lake, which was great because it was cooler than Salt Lake, and
the kids could play in the lake. We drove up Friday afternoon and spent some time visiting with those relatives already there, and we took Dan to the lake to play. He had an allergic reaction to something (we still aren't sure what). I felt so bad for him - his eyes were swollen and red, his nose was stuffed up badly and the end of it was bright red. Luckily one of the cousins had some allergy medication and it had cleared up by the next morning. I wish I knew what had caused the reaction. We're thinking it was something in the water, because when we went to get some of our own allergy medication the clerk said I was the third person with the same story that weekend. Poor kid. He has a check-up this week and I will ask his doctor then. Saturday was Dan's official second birthday and he let everyone know it right from the start. He threw a tantrum at breakfast because we wouldn't let him have Dr. Pepper for breakfast. Then he threw another one later because we wouldn't let him have a cookie before he ate some lunch. We had a few people (including his Grandpa) try to talk us out of our stance, but we didn't cave. Eventually he ate lunch and he got the cookie, which he only ended up eating half of. He never did get the Dr. Pepper though. By the end of the day he had thrown at least three tantrums. Hopefully he is learning tantrums don't work. Later that afternoon we took him down to the lake again. We had his life jacket on him so we took him out deeper than we have before. He loves the water. Gary also took Max out to see if he could swim - he can. Jack stayed on the beach under his umbrella, happy as could be. Jack does not like water (yet.) Grandma and Grandpa came over from Clifton on Saturday. Jeff, Shelly & Tyler came up from Bountiful Friday night. So we had our whole family there. In the afternoon everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Dan. He loved it! He just clapped and clapped afterwards. He even got a set of sand toys from Mom's Aunt Donna & Uncle Jerry. We decided to go to Clifton Saturday night. The reunion was is Laketown and Dan was totally zonked by the time we got to Garden City. We weren't suprised though - he didn't get a nap and had two doses of allergy medicine. We came home today so we can enjoy the holiday tomorrow. It was a fun weekend. Enjoy the pics.
