Roly-Poly

Jack has been quite the mover today. I was working on the computer while Dan watched Elmo and Jack was playing under his gym. I head a faint knock on the floor and looked into the front room and Jack had rolled himself almost 6 feet, heading in my direction. He was grinning from ear to hear when I went to pick him up. I put him back under the gym and a few minutes later, Dan was fussing because Jack had rolled himself over to his chair, and was partially under it. Then I put Jack in the swing to play. I didn't want Dan to rock on his arm or leg. He was happy & very active in the swing until he went to sleep. Jack is getting so involved with what's around him. Sometimes I'll catch him just staring at his hands & fingers, clenching and un-clenching them. If he is on his tummy, he will try to push himself forward with his feet. I'm thinking he will be crawling by Christmas because he is starting to try to get his legs under him when he is on his tummy.
Gary said we needed photos on the blog - so here's one of Jack, happy on his tummy. He is great at holding his head up when he is on his tummy. Almost as soon as you set him down he will flip to his tummy. Gary calls him "Flipper" because he can flip quite fast when he wants to.
