A Jones Family Weekend

We spent most of this weekend with Gary's family. Saturday we went to his dads family reunion in Highland. There were a lot of people there. I am starting to recognize some of them, and even remembering a few names, so that is a good sign. From Gary's family there were us, Eric, Craig, Russell & his family, Cathy & Michael, Dyana, her girls & Tammy & Craig and their kids. 25 all total from our family. It was fun - we ate & played games and ate some more. Cathy made a Jones Family bingo game with names of the ancestors & family. Marisa Sharpe made a matching game using last names of the cousins. We enjoyed visiting too. Sunday we drove up to Tremonton for Tammy & Craigs baby blessing. They named their little girl Kyrah Aleace Beal. On the way up Daniel was in the backseat and all of the sudden he says "Burger. Meat. Meat and Fries." I was like "What did he see?" What it was - we had passed a McDonalds billboard and he spotted the golden arches. He has a pattern of asking, and sometimes crying for, fries when ever we pass a McDonalds or an Arbys. I guess he can recognize their logos more easily & knows we get fries there. Silly kid. Sunday night we had Family Home Evening with my family. We get together for a combined FHE the last Sunday of each month. It is nice to see everyone & enjoy an evening together. After the lesson & dinner we played a really fun game. It is like the game Telephone (if you've ever played that) only way more fun & hilarious! Instead of whispering a sentence to each other, each person writes a sentence on a paper then passes it to the next person, who draws a picture of the sentence on a new piece of paper. Then the picture papers are passed to the next person who writes a sentence about that picture. Then it is repeated, until eveyone gets their sentence back. You have to write the original authors initials (i.e. BJ1, BJ2. etc.) on each one or you may not be able to tell whose is whose! Then each person puts their papers in order & shows everyone the evolution of their sentence. We laughed so hard! It was way fun - thanks for the great game Jeff & Shelly!
