Utah State Fair

Monday night we went to the Utah State Fair. We got in for free because it was Military Appreciation Day. I think the boys had a good time. Dan wanted to push his stroller more than anything. We let him some, but he was a little reckless so eventually we had to put him back in it. He did not like that! Talk about a tantrum! Now we know, don't let him push the stroller if you ever want him to get back into it. It was also the 5th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that brought down the World Trade Center. We were living in our first apartment when that happened. I remember waking up to news on the radio that a plane had hit the first tower, and not thinking much about it, just going back to sleep. When we woke up the second time, the second plane had hit, and I think the Pentagon had been hit and the fourth plane had crashed, and we were just in shock. I think we skipped at least one class and went to Gary's parents house to watch the news (since we didn't have a television set.) It was one of those days that you just wander around in a daze. I remember at work they had a TV set up for days so we could watch the news coverage. It was one of those events that you can't help but be mesmerized by the footage and you'll always remember where you were when you heard the news.
