Salt Lake County Fair

Tonight we took the boys to the opening night of the county fair. We saw the exhibits, went to the petting zoo & fought our way through the midway (Daniel really wanted to play the fishing game). The boys did okay at the petting zoo. There was one goat who took a liking to Dan & follwed him around, which terrified Dan. Jack was spooked by a different friendly little goat & ended up face to face with Dan's admirer at one point, much to Jack's concern. The boys did end up petting a few of the animals though, so that was fun. I think Daniel enjoyed the fair, more than Jack did any way. Jack was really fussy for most of the time we were there. He fell asleep on the way home so we figured he must have been tired. Wrong. We stopped for dinner at a favorite Mexican place near home & just as our waiter was getting there Jack threw up all over himself. We felt bad leaving our poor waiter there with a mess to clean up, but Jack needed to get home. So, he is in bed right now & hopefully he'll feel better tomorrow. There has been a nasty parasite floating around public pools & even though we haven't been to any pools per se, we do frequent the fountain at Liberty park. Jack doesn't usually get into the water though & he certainly doesn't drink it that I have seen. I am hoping that his illness is just related to the summer cold the boys have had the past week.
