Jones Family Reunion

Okay, so this post is a week late. I forgot to blog about the event (blame it on the pregnancy). Last Saturday we had a reunion with Gary's family. We all met at my parents' ward for dinner & visiting. We had quite a few people there - around 40. We had a ham dinner with yams & salads & veggies. All yummy! It was my first experience cooking a ham & it turned out so good. Mmmm. We all hung out for a while & chatted. Craig brought his laptop so people could see the video of Granny & Opa's river ride in Brazil. They returned from their trip on Friday, safe & sound. They had a great time & we are so glad they did. It was great to see everyone. Keith & his family came down from Boise, Dyana & her family came down from Oregon, and almost all the locals showed up. The boys had tons of fun playing with their cousins & were totally worn out by the time we got home. It was a very nice evening.
Sunday night we got together at my parents house for a pre-Thanksgiving dessert night. We had 6 different types of pies - apple, cherry, pumpkin, currant, coconut cream & swiss pie. Including Jack & Dan, there were 9 people there! Almost a whole pie for each of us! Daniel shocked me by eating two entire pieces of cherry pie. Usually he is done with dessert after 2 or 3 bites. He must have really enjoyed the pie! I helped myself to 3 pieces & was feeling it later.
I had to have pumpkin & currant is my all time favorite. I don't even recall what the other piece was. I think it was a second piece of pumpkin. It was a really good treat night.
