In 6 weeks (or less) we will have a new baby boy! It is so exciting to think about, and at the same time a little scary. I am looking forward to holding a snuggly little bundle again, to nursing him, to swaddling him in cozy blankets with cute hats. I'm not looking forward to the loss of sleep, or of the loss of the (relative) freedom I still have to come and go (even with 2 boys). Nor am I looking forward to the one Sunday a month when Gary has National Guard & I'll be taking all three boys to church by myself. I am a bit apprehensive about how Jack will react to having a little brother. He is still very much attached to his Mama & gets very upset at times when Dan is sitting on my lap instead of himself. I hope that he adjust quickly & that he doesn't feel slighted by all the attention the new baby will get.
We still have quite a bit to do before our little man gets here. I need to buy at least one package of newborn diapers, we need to have my parents bring the cradle down from Idaho, clear out space in the boys closet for the baby's clothes, and maybe find a bigger dresser for their room. I had a dream the other night that they stopped making the infant diapers I like & I couldn't find them anywhere. It was very distressing!
Other than that, the days go by as quickly as I can hope (or fear!) Some days the baby is so active I think he is trying to escape through my stomach. Others, like today, he is quite calm & only moves a little bit.
We are closer to deciding on a name (I think). We haven't sat down together to make a list, but there is one name that we seem to be settling on. No, I'm not telling you what it is. We have to wait until he is born to see if it fits, then I'll let you all know.

How exciting to have a new baby coming. After they are born it goes by so fast. I try and enjoy every minute but with little sleep it is sometimes hard to do. We are so excited for you guys.
