Evan is Due Today!

Today is Evan's due date! He is celebrating by sleeping. I took him in for his 2 week check-up on Tuesday. He now weighs in at 7 lbs even & is measuring 20.5 inches. He is gaining about half an inch a week in height & 13 ounces since his last visit. Reminds me of Jackson's weight gain the first two weeks. I am glad he is doing so well. The doctor had his nurse schedule a kidney ultrasound for us for March 4. It is just a routine check to make sure everything is normal, since polydactyly has been linked to kidney problems. Dr. Allred is having me do stretches with his one thumb everyday to keep it limber, since Evan doesn't seem to straighten it on his own. We will possibly get an appointment with the hand specialist at his next check-up.
I have made my first outings with all three boys by myself. Yesterday I had all three when I picked Daniel up from preschool & today we all went grocery shopping. I must say that the excursions weren't too bad, but they will be easier when I can get a sling and carry Evan in that & not his car seat.
