Woo hoo! Yesterday was a good leap day. The bank finally signed off on the house. That means we have it under contract & we will be closing on the 26th and moving in on the 28th. I was hoping to be in by Easter, but at least we will be in by General Conference. I am still wondering why the bank took so long to get around to signing the purchase contract. I mean, don't they lose money the longer they hold it, since it was a short sale? Maybe they have so many short sales they are swamped. I'm not totally letting them off the hook though.
Gary had yesterday off work, thanks to the alternate work schedule WesTech allows employees to have. We cleaned the house in preparation for this weekend, ran some errands, took the boys to the park & went to Russ and Tracie's house to celebrate Kailie's birthday. She is 12, but it was only her 3rd real birthday, having been born on leap day. Both our current ward & future ward had parties but we didn't make it to either one.
Tonight we had Gary's family over to celebrate Evan's blessing tomorrow. We couldn't fit both of our families in our small house, so we split them up. Eric & Leia, Craig, Gary's parents & Michelle & Volkmar all came over. We had a nice dinner & sat and visited for a couple of hours. Tomorrow we will have my family over after church & do it all over again.
I weighed Evan today & the little chunker is up to over 9 pounds! He is getting rolls on his arms & legs. It is so cute. He has been sleeping a lot the past couple of days (not that it is so unusual to sleep a lot). I think he's having a growth spurt. At this rate Jack better watch out - Evan is going to catch up to him in no time!
