We gave Daniel a USA map puzzle for Christmas this last year. When you put the pieces on it tells you the state name & it's capitol. Well, I figured that it would be more practical for him later on in life but that he would have fun with it now, it being a more difficult puzzle than the ones he already had. As of last week he had mastered putting all the states in their proper places & has moved on to memorizing their names & capitols. Gary and I were talking while on a drive the other day about how, with a little effort on our part, Dan could start memorizing them. I had noticed that he knew a couple so we started quizzing him. The little stinker already know a third of them! His memory just amazes me. Sometimes when you start quizzing him though, he'll say "I already told them yesterday." Smarty pants.
Today's art project was mosaics. I cut up come construction paper into triangles & let the boys glue them onto a piece of white construction paper. Jack really liked putting the glue on the pieces. Well, I actually put glue on the pieces and put them on the table for them to put on their pictures but I gave Jack a closed bottle of glue and let him think he was putting the glue on. It was fun.

Kids sometimes learn things quicker then we think. Nathan always surprises me. That is wonderful that he seems to be learning them quickly!
Fun fun! Is your fridge all shaped out now? I bet that was such a fun project. I just hope we get settled down here soon so we can start living again.
