Last night our Stake held it's annual Family Fun Fair. They had dozens of games the kids could play for prizes, inflatable slides & a maze, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, balloon animals and entertainment. All of it was free and the boys sure had fun. Gary and I each took turns running a game for an hour while the other took Dan & Jack around for the activities. They came home with lots of little toys and candy. I found out that a former Young Womens leader of mine now lives in our Stake. I thought I had seen her at Stake Conference so it was nice to see her. I had also dreamed the night before that I had seen her at the fair so that was a little weird.
We had a yard sale this morning. One person came. We made a grand total of $2.96! Our street just isn't good for yard sales - not enough traffic. Next time we'll take all the stuff to my parents house. We set some of the leftovers in the driveway for people to have for free (we really needed space in our garage!) and they are gone.
My candle party went really well, especially considering I only had three people there and they were all related to me! I almost met my goal of what I need to get my consultant starter kit. I'm hoping to get a couple of outside orders to reach that by the time my show closes on Wednesday. (Let me know if you want to sniff my scents!) I've decided that it is really hard to sell candles when I don't have the scent samples yet! Luckily I had some freebies in different scents and I have awesome family & friends. Really - my mom is the best! Thanks Mom!! I will be posting the recipes I used for yummy food if anyone wants to make it themselves. Of course, isn't food better when some one else makes it?
