Utah State Fair

We took the boys the the State Fair last Thursday night with my parents. It was Patriots Day so all military members & their families got in free. The boys were so excited to go to the fair. They had been looking forward to it all week. Luckily the weather cooperated and enjoyed a pleasant evening. We was the tigers and looked at all the exhibits. We visited the animals & the boys got to pet a bunny. The boys saw a real race car (they were super excited about that). They had lots of fun, even though we didn't ride any rides or do the "fun stuff." We love going to the fair!I decided that next year I am going to enter some cinnamon pickles. There was a shortage of pickles at this year's fair - and no cinnamon ones! I think I may enter the lion costume I made for Daniel's first Halloween too.
In other news, guess who is sitting up?! Evan is getting the hang of sitting up. He does better at holding himself up if he has a toy to look at, but the length of his self-supported sits is improving. His physical therapist says we need to have him practice sitting and supporting himself with his arms to improve his muscle tone (which is a little low). She also thinks he needs another Botox shot in his neck, since the last one seems to have worn off and his neck stretches are painful for him. I will talk to his doctor about it on Wednesday when we got in for his check up. We have also seen a huge improvement in Evan's ability to roll. He can roll across a room now if he wants too. He is also starting to pivot on his stomach, to turn around and see things. I think he is actually starting to prefer tummy time - he can see more that way!
