Look what we have growing from our garage beam!
Okay, they didn't really grow there. With the temperatures dropping, and soon to be at freezing here over the next few nights, we tore out all our tomato plants (well, most of them). We want our tomatoes - to can and make salsa! My mom told us that if we tore them out and hung them in the garage they would ripen. We tried picking the green ones last year & they never ripened inside and the few that did didn't taste good at all. So, we decided to try this method. Look at how tall they are! One of the is around seven feet tall (long). They are by far the biggest I've ever grown. They have some nice looking tomatoes on them too. Hope it works!
WFD: Beets & beet greens, with something else (we also pulled up all of our root vegetables)

Man those plants look great! Would you like to share those green thumbs?
I'm interested to see how this works out for you. We have many many green tomatoes, but I don't have the energy to mess with trying to salvage them. Keep us posted, and maybe I'll try it next year.
Hi Brittany! How are you? You have a beautiful family. It was so fun to hear from you.
