We had a really nice Thanksgiving. We spent the morning at home, having breakfast and relaxing before dinner time. We spent the rest of the day at Granny & Opa's new house in Taylorsville. We had a great dinner and the boys had a blast playing with Aunt Leia. She was so wonderful to keep them occupied for so long! Thanks Leia! Our contributions to dinner were rolls and pumpkin pie. I made an extra pie to leave at home and we have enjoyed eating pie for breakfast the past two days. Aren't leftovers great?
Friday morning I got up at 5am and headed out into the melee that is Black Friday. The first store I hit (Walmart) was a madhouse, but other than that things were pretty laid back. It was actually not too stressful a morning. I got most of the things on my list, and a couple of others. I took a couple of things back already, deciding we didn't need them after all. The rest of the day was spent at home, pulling out the Christmas decor and rearranging things a bit to fit the china cabinet that we bought from my parents. The boys were so excited that I was putting Christmas decorations up. They especially liked the Christmas stockings with their names on them. It was fun this year to actually have a fireplace to hang them on!
Evan is army crawling! Finally! He is so funny to watch. He tries to go as fast as he can to get something he really wants (like a remote control). He can move from room to room, slowly, and tries to come find us when we leave a room. He has two bottom teeth now and they sure make for a cute smile.
We were talking to Dan and Jack today about nicknames. Jackson's is "Sparky" (if you know him, it totally fits!). If you ask Jackson his name he'll tell you "Sparky Ray Jones" - he loves it! Daniel doesn't really have a nickname so tonight he tells us "Maybe I need a nickety-name." Gary asked him what his could be. Daniel says "I don't know. Maybe something like... Carl." We laughed so hard! Carl?! Funny kid.

LOL! How fun that he is crawling now! Next year we will be in Utah for Thanksgiving, so we should maybe plan out black friday together! :o) It would be fun!
I love shopping, but this black Friday thing sounds kind of crazy! I was watching the news and they were showing people lined up in the dark and cold for hours. That is dedication! I'm glad you survived it unscathed. :)
