Just a couple of little things today.
One, the new names Daniel and Jackson have come up with for Gary and I. They call me "Mamoon" or "Swooty-toot." They have taken to calling Gary "Papi." I don't know why we got new names, and I don't particularly care for being called "Swooty-toot," but it is kind of cute.
Two: I was getting something from the boys' room this evening and Jack was in the entryway. He was pointing to his shadow on the wall and calling it a monster. In his language, though, it was "A Monstee." Cute cute.
Three: I took Evan to his physical therapist on Friday and he is almost done! He has one, maybe two, appointments left. That will be great. He is trying his darndest to crawl. He just can't get his legs under him yet. A lot of times he will high center himself on his belly, lift his hands up and kick his legs as fast as he can. If we were fish, he'd be getting somewhere. If he really wants somethings (like a cup or a wrapper the boys left on the ground) he can sort of army crawl/rock himself over to it. He'll be crawling before we know it, I'm sure. I'm not quite ready for him to be crawling yet though. I still need to baby-proof our banister on the stairs to the basement, and get the vacuum looked at so there aren't too many "treasures" for him to find and taste.
Evan also is (finally) putting weight on his legs enough to stand up (with help). I am working on his endurance and also on his ability to kneel next to something. His physical therapist also showed me how to help him get his legs under him to crawl. I could have used that with Daniel - he never really did crawl on his hands and knees. He was an expert army crawler though!
WFD: Roast Beef & veggies and mashed potatoes with gravy.
