WANTED: A bucket-full of my boys' energy!

I am supposed to be making sugar cookies for scouts tomorrow. The problem is that I have no energy. I came down with some stomach bug on Sunday and I thought I was better yesterday, but last night was ill again and am still not up to snuff today. Plus, Jack threw up this morning so I am on duty watching over him (though he seems to be fine). Maybe I will get those cookies made after I take Dan to school when Jack is napping and Evan is introduced to the wonderful world of Baby Einstein.
I also have Christmas things to sort, wrap, and one or two things left to purchase (note to Susan: Any gift ideas for yourself?). I am planning on keeping most gifts hidden until the big day, but I will put the boys Christmas Eve jammies under the tree a couple of days ahead of time. I think I love Christmas even more now that I have my own kids than I did when I was a kid. I am so excited to see their reactions, especially Dan & Jack, since they are totally into the Santa thing. I love being a Mom!
I signed up to go work at the Desert pasta factory tonight and I am actually looking forward to it. It has been years and year since I have done service at one of the church facilities, though I go to the home canning center almost monthly. I think the last time I went was in Young Womens when we went to the soap factory.
In news of the family, Gary got a new calling. We was called as first counselor in the Elder's Quorum. He is a little sad to leave his gospel doctrine teaching calling, but is looking forward to getting to know more people in the ward (I think). We went to two parties for his work & National Guard last week. They were both nice. The WesTech one was at the Little America. Good food & entertainment, but it went a little too late for us. His National Guard party was at Tucano's in Orem. Again good food, good company and it was just the right length of time. I even made a new friend (I think I actually talked more than Gary did).

WFD: Fetucine Alfredo & mixed veggies

Wouldn't it be lovely to have the energy of youth? I loved reading about your family. And I like the bookshelf widgit. I'll have to get one so that I can remember the books I've read!

We are hiding most of our presents too until the big day. I did all the sorting and wrapping the other day and it took me forever! But, I'm glad I did it early, because I realized that I forgot a few things. (Yea, more shopping for me!)

If you ever figure out how to bundle that energy and sell it--you would be set for life! I know I'd take some! Oh, and Jason just got a new calling--he's leaving Elder's Quorum secretary to be a gospel doctrine teacher. I love your blog, keep it up!
