We got together with my sister and her kids today to color some Easter eggs. I tried a new method for a few that I found here. They turned out pretty good, but not as good as the ones in the tutorial. It is worth trying though and I think I will be doing it again next year. The boys are very excited for Easter. Last night for FHE we went through the Easter story with them using this set of eggs called "Resurrection Eggs." Each egg has something in it that represents part of the Easter story and there is a little booklet that goes with it that tells which scripture goes with that item and has a short blurb about it and a lengthier explanation. We just used the short blurbs since the boys are so young. I hope they understood the lesson - they were more into opening the eggs than listening.
Daniel is on Spring Break this week and I am trying really hard to get back into the swing of having all three boys home all day, all week. We have another play date lined up for tomorrow, and I am still open for Thursday and Friday if anyone is interested.
I took this video a while back during family home evening. It is of the boys singing "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree." It is cute, especially at the end where Evan joins in the actions.
GD96: I am grateful that we live so close to most of our family. It is great to see them so often.
