Another set of stitches

Another set of stitches today at the Jones household. Today while I was at Jenn's funeral (more about that another day) Jackson "bludgeoned" (Gary's words) himself on our metal bed frame. I was sitting in my seat near the end of the service and I thought to myself, "I should have brought in my phone just in case Gary needs me." I thought about all the things that could have happened - Evan could have fallen down the outside stairs, Daniel could have cut himself on Gary's power saw... You know how Mom's get. So I got back to the van and I had missed eleven calls from Gary. ELEVEN. So I called him and he was on his way to the clinic with Jack for stitches. It seems that he and Dan were jumping on the air mattress and he bounced off (or was pushed) into our bed frame. I met Gary mid-way to the hospital and I took him the rest of the way to PCMC. He ended up with two stitches right under his nose. He didn't take it as well as Evan did, but he did fine. My biggest worry was that he might yank the stitched out before we got home. His lip was still numb on our way home and he kept tugging at them. They are the kind that dissolve and should come out within a week. I am sure Jack will help them along. I have been waiting for him to injure himself. He is just one of those kids that goes a million miles an hour and burns the calories to prove it.
