Couch potato

We're having to start to be very careful about Daniel's television time. He is mesmerized by the TV set. So I try not to have it on during the day. That way, he'll play with his toys and get his exercise by scooting around the apartment. He does get to watch Sesame Street in the morning - he loves Elmos World. Not every day, but a couple of times a week, he'll watch a Baby Einstein video too. He has a couple of favorites of those - Baby Beethoven and Baby Van Gogh. We do have the TV on at night, but he usually doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to it then. I'm trying to nip the TV habit in the bud before it starts.
He has at least 3 new teeth coming in. There could be as many as five. All I know is that he is very grumpy. I need to get him some teething tablets. I've tried Baby Anbesol, but his mouth is so wet that it doesn't help a whole lot. Popsicles do help some, but he can only have so many of those during a day.
My friend Becky Cornelius had her baby this past May. I'm just finding out! His name is Gavin. He joins big sister Emma.
