Elmo's World

We have discovered that Daniel loves Elmo. He watches Sesame Street almost every weekday morning. Sometimes he gets distracted and crawls off to explore something, but as soon as he hears the music to Elmo's World, he makes a mad crawl for the TV and sits there and smiles. We bought him an Elmo doll that we keep in the car for him. He gets so excited when he gets to play with it. I wasn't sure how old he would be when he started getting "favorites," but Elmo is definitely his first.
We went over to our friends the Schmidts for dinner Sunday night. Another friend, Rick Harper was there also. He cooked dinner and it was really good. He chopped up red and green bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, and sliced some pepper jack cheese. Then he sauted the veggies in oil and cooked chicken tenders in oil too. He put the chicken on a tray when it was done, put veggies on top of each piece, then cheese on top of that. Then he put them in a warm oven for a little while to melt the cheese. It was really yummy. I'll have to make it sometime.
We're having the brothers Stoddard over for dinner tomorrow night. They are in our ward. Justin was in the Captains course here at Ft. Huachuca, but now is teaching instead. His brother Sam lives with him and is also coming. We're having Garlic Lime Chicken, italian potato wedges, a green salad and probably cookies for dessert. Maybe we'll play Trivial Pursuit after dinner.
Gary and I play Trivial Pursuit a lot. Gary finally won tonight for the first time since we bought the game. For some reason, I just have a good memory for trivia. We like playing, it is a fun game. (And I like winning)
Tomorrow Dna and I are going the the ward playdate in the park. I like it because I get to have a chat with the other moms in the ward, and because Dan wears himself out. And Dan likes it because he can crawl all over the place and climb on things. Then I'll come home and clean the house while he sleeps. I also need to put a sign up: "WANTED: MOVING BOXES!"
