Screaming Dan

Dan had quite a day yetserday - we took him to the pool and the playground. He had lots of fun. We took Max to the playground with us and had lts of kids come over to play with him. Dan is so funny - it's like he searches out stairs to climb. That is his favorite thing at the playground. I let him crawl down the hall at church today and he found the stairs there and started climbing. Funny kid. We went to one of the local German restaraunts here yesterday for lunch. It was good. They have at least three German delis here. Gary has been to two. Dan has been screaming quite a bit lately. I think it's just a phase, but we're getting tired of it pretty fast. We've tried ignoring him, pinching his lip when he screams, nothing worked. So yesterday we started squirting him in the face with a spray bottle when he screams. So far (knock on wood) it seems to be helping. Sometimes he cries because he doesn't like it, but he stops screaming. He was able to sit through sacrament meeting today with the bottle's help, so that is a good thing. Hopefully it will become a more permanent solution and he'll just give up on the whole screaming bit.
The breaking of the binky is going good. He only had it once this week at naptime, I think. He does good without it now. Soon I'll throw them all away. He is getting to the point where he only wants to take one nap, but I still put him down for a second because he needs the quiet time.
