Cars

Daniel's favorite plaything lately has been his cars. They are the first things he wants to play with in the morning. And when we come home after being gone, he'll sit and play with his cars, happy as can be, for at least a half hour. Really anything with wheels he calls a car. Even when we tell him it's a truck, or train, or wagon, he'll say "Car." He sure is all boy in that respect. He has been dancing a lot more lately. We were watching "American Idol" tonight (the Queen show) and Dan was dancing along to one of the songs. It is so cute & funny to watch. He'll dance to almost any music, even church hymns. Sometimes he'll dance without music. Dan's new word the past two days is "Okay." He doesn't quite understand the meaning of the word, but he sure has a cute way of saying it. Jackson slept for 6-7 hours last night without waking up. That was a nice change. Usually he wants to eat every hour or so before he goes to bed and will go at the most 4 hours at a stretch during the night. We are determined to get him on a more regular eating schedule. Today was the first day I really tried to make him wait 3 hours between feedings. He did pretty well, as long as he has a binky. I think with Jack it's the sucking as much as it is the eating that he enjoys. He has a certain pacifier he likes though. He likes the Soothie we got at the hospital, and hates the Mam pacifiers. Dan was just the opposite. Just goes to show how different kids can be.
Looks like we will probably be blessing Jack on April 30. Gary has his two-week National Guard AT starting the first weekend in May. We'll talk to the Bishop and see what he says. Hopefully it will be good weather and we can have a BBQ at our house after church that day.
