Jackson figured out the whole crawling bit tonight. For the first time he actually took two or three "steps" in a row, on two or three different occasions. Now he'll be able to keep up with his cousin Tyler (and Dan eventually).
Daniel, on the other hand, is immoveable when it comes to snow. He refuses to step into the 4 inches of snow we received the other day. That equals a bit more work for Mama when loading the boys into the car, and unloading them. I have to carry him across the lawn & into the car, or house. It is a great way to keep him from taking any more tumbles down the front steps however.
As mentioned, we got about 4 inches of snow earlier this week and the temperatures have been downright arctic ever since. I think it got down to 5 last night, and hasn't gone above freezing the past two days or so. A bit chilly for my blood.
Gary and I bought a new-to-us minivan on Saturday. The "dream van," as we call it, is a 1992 Plymouth Voyager. It is in decent shape for it's age, though it does have some blemishes & minor repairs to be made. It has 133K miles and was a bargain at $550. It drives nicely and hopefully it will last us a little while.
Thanksgiving was a nice time for us. We had Thanksgiving dinner with my family and pie with Garys. Gary enjoyed having a four-day weekend, and we all enjoyed our time together. Yes, we did participate in the "Black Friday" madness, though we didn't sleep ovenight at Best Buy as previously planned.
I put up the Christmas tree tonight. We haven't decorated it yet, but the lights are on and Jackson is fascinated.
