Voluntary Nap

Anyone with a two-year old knows that they don't take naps voluntarily. So when Dan goes into his room, lies down and curls up in his blanket only two hours after he got up, you know he isn't feeling well. Luckily, we know why he is feeling so yucky - he has pink eye. Friday night we went to Gary's parents house to watch the Jazz game and midway through I took him into Instacare because the goop his right eye had been emitting all afternoon was turning yellowish-green and his eye was getting puffy. The doctor gave him a prescription for Tobramycin drops, and they seem to be working. Yesterday his eye was sealed shut when he woke up, but the drainage has all but gone away since then. This morning his eye was puffy, but not goopy. He doesn't like having the drops put into his eyes, but it has to be done four times a day never the less. We are keeping him home from church today so he doesn't spread it to the kids in nursery. Actually, he is staying at Grandma and Grandpas house while we go to church (I have to teach Sunday School today). Thus far, Jack shows no sign of having contracted it, so let's keep our fingers crossed.
