Gary's brother Eric got free tickets to The Who in concert on Monday night from the National Guard. (I love family members with perks!) He invited us to go with him and another one of his friends. We made some last-minutes arrangements with Grandma to watch the boys, and we went and enjoyed ourselves (thanks Mom!). The opening act was The Pretenders. I recognized one or two of their songs. The Who has a new album out and played some stuff off of that, and some of their oldies but goodies. We enjoyed the concert (well worth the money), though we walked out feeling as if we had bubbles over our heads it was so loud. That is one bad thing about rock concerts - they are so loud you can't really hear the lyrics. It has been a while since our last concert. The last one we went to was a small Chris LeDoux concert in St. George about 2 years ago when Dan was an infant. That was a great concert. The boys are recovering from their illnesses. They both still have runny noses and occasional coughing, but are doing much better. Jack has recovered 90% of his voice. Jack isn't crawling officially yet, but he is getting good at scooting backwards. He gets up on his hands and knees and pushes himself backwards with his hands, his knees sliding along the floor. He gets frustrated at times that he can't go forward, but he is working with it. He is standing with help. His legs are pretty strong. I think it is from bouncing in his doorway jumper. He also has discovered that if he raises his arms when we are near, more often than not, we'll pick him up.
Daniel is continually finding new playthings. The other day he took my colander off of the counter and paraded around in his new "hat" for half an hour or so. He was quite pleased with himself.
