You say it's your birthday.....

Jackson turned one year old yesterday! We had his birthday party this past Sunday with family at Susan's house. We had food, opened gifts & had cake. I though for sure Jackson would dig right into his cake, but he didn't. He was so funny - he would dip his fingertip it and lick it off, over and over again. We tried to "help" him dig in, by pushing his hands into the cake, but that only made him cry! He had a good time though, as far as I can tell. He got a few toys, books and some new clothes. I took him in for his one-year portraits on Monday. He is such a wiggler that there were only two where we caught him holding still & smiling. One caught his uber-cute cheesy grin that I just love. Yesterday we celebrated by getting dinner from Hires Big H. Man! They make a good burger! His one-year checkup was today. He is still small for his age. He weight 17 lb. 15 oz. (2%) and was 29.5 inches long (37%). An interesting comparison between him & Dan - Daniels head has always been 95% or above, Jacksons hovers around 30%, it was 24% today. He is getting long, platinum blonde hair. Gary had the same color hair as an infant so maybe Jack will get to keep these lovely locks.
