Easter

We had a very nice Easter this year. We spent the morning at church, then came home for naps & Easter baskets (yes, in that order.) We decided to do baskets after church this year because Gary had to be at the church at 7 a.m. for meetings, and I had to get the boys ready for church by myself by 9 a.m. And, as anyone who knows me well can tell you, I am not a morning person. Daniel was actually good at church. He didn't fuss too much about going into Nursery, and sat on my lap quietly through most of Sacrament meeting. Jackson, on the other hand, was very grumpy throughout most of the meetings. I think he is getting more teeth, as he has been grumpy pretty much all week.
After church, we all came home for a nap and then we let the boys open their baskets. Daniel really enjoyed his treats & Jackson was bound and determined to eat the Easter eggs. Then we all piled into the van & headed to Susan's for dinner & an Easter egg hunt. We colored eggs first and Daniel loved stirring his. I gave him the egg dipper & a bowl of coloring and let him stir the egg in it. I wasn't planning on Jackson getting too much into the hunt, but he did! He loved finding the eggs, as did Dan. Jackson was a little annoyed, I think, that we took the eggs away from him as he found them. He was almost in tears by the end of the hunt. Grandma Johnson also hid a basket of goodies for each of them. Dan, upon finding his, exclaimed "A shirt, and CAKE!!" It was so fun to see them get into the hunt.
