So sad

A beautiful little refugee girl from Burma that attended our last ward was found dead last night after a two-day search (news story here). I feel so lost as to what I'm feeling. I am glad that they have knowledge of the Plan of Salvation and I hope they can find some comfort in that. I didn't know the little girl personally but the Burmese people in general who had been attending our ward were so kind & sweet. I am horrified that they escaped persecution in their own country to have this happen in ours. What is the world coming to? I can't even fathom one of my own children being taken. It is hard for me to imagine how this little girls' mother is feeling. I hope that this opens the eyes of the community to the conditions that exist for some of the less fortunate among us.
