Toddler Time

I am going to try and get more structure into the boys lives. Right now they kind of play whatever all day long. They do have a bedtime routine & a pretty standard morning routine, but in between in kind of random & usually pretty chaotic. So today, after morning cartoons, we sat down for some preschool time (for Dan) and coloring time for Jack. Then, after a minor meltdown on Daniel's part because I wouldn't let him paint, we did an art project - today's was necklaces made of fruity Cherrios. Nothing majorly exciting but the boys enjoyed it. Jack like eating the cereal and Daniel (who won't even eat a piece of the stuff unless forced) was pretty good at stringing the o's onto the yarn. After the art project we had lunch and now the boys are down for naps (hopefully). I am hoping we can do these kind of days everyday, but I'll settle for a few times a week. Any ideas for projects? I'll continue to post our fun here.

Jones family,

We just found your comment on our blog from last October. It's great to see your family. Can't believe you have three kids (can't believe we have 4 either). We're trying to figure out where you guys live and if the background for your site is from there.

You are such a good Mama!

Once my mother in law sat all the kids down and distributed cookie sheets. Then she took a can of shaving cream and squirted it on the cookie sheets. They all went to town and played for a solid half hour, drawing and painting.

It's messy, but a quick clean up & leaves them smelling clean :)
