I was expecting Evan to be a little grumpy the few days following his surgery. So far he has been happy as a clam! He slept Tuesday until around 5:30 pm and when he woke up he was just as pleasant as could be. I even took him to Enrichment with me and he smiled and cooed the whole time. I am glad he is such a sweet little spirit. His smiles can cheer you up on the worst of days.
I think Evan has been getting frustrated with the boxing gloves that are his hands right now. He tried to chew on his hands and when he tastes the bandages gets a disgusted look on his face. He also gets frustrated with the fact that he can't grab the toys on his gym any more. He was lying under it last night, batting away with both hands, and eventually his vocalizations got louder and louder until they sounded like something of a happy-frustrated squeal!
He is sleeping well (the pain meds probably help with that.) I am only giving him the strong stuff at night time now, unless I think he needs it during the day. Other than that I give him regular infant Tylenol. We are planning on unwrapping his hands tonight for a bath. I will take some photos when we do.

I'm so glad to hear that he is doing so well. I can only imagine how frustrating his boxing gloves must be right now. Before he knows it, he will have them off and back to normal.
He will be wearing them for a couple of weeks. By then he may not know what to do with his hands when they are unwrapped for good!
I am so happy things went well for little Evan. I am so amazed with Doctors today...we truly have modern day miracles with the technology and medicine we have today. You're such a great mommy Britt!
