Unwrapped

We did unwrap Evan's hands last night after his bath. I took photos of his "new" hands, but they didn't turn out. They still look like fresh cuts though, so no one wants to see that grossness (right?) His thumbs look good! His right thumb does bend to left some at the top joint, but it should go back to normal according to the doctor. It is bent like that because it was compensating for the extra thumb. His incision on his right hand extends most of the length of his thumb. The left incision is shorter, but still longer than we were expecting. I didn't count stitches, but there were a few. My guess would be about 10 or so. Evan did okay with us unwrapping them until we tried to wash his hands & re-wrap them. I think that hurt him. Poor little guy. We will wait a little longer this next time before we change the wrappings.
