Weekend

It seems like it was a really long weekend. Gary took Friday off work and went to my Uncle's funeral in Idaho. I am glad we went. I learned things about him that I never knew (or remembered), like what kind of a person he was before his (major) accidents. I only remember him after the accidents and I am glad to now have another (borrowed) memory of how he used to be. We got to visit with family we haven't seen in a while. I got to see some of my cousins that I hadn't seen since Grandma's funeral back in 2002. Happy we went.
Saturday Gary spent the morning & afternoon helping his parents paint their house. That evening we went to a housewarming party at the Birds. It was great to see friends from Haven Ward. Kind of a recharge. Both the Birds and we miss Haven Ward.
Gary and I spoke in Sacrament meeting today. I really enjoyed his talk. I had a really hard time concentrating on preparing mine until Friday night. I guess it went okay. I tried really hard not to speak too fast like I have a tendency to. Gary's parent's came to help with the boys but by the end of the meeting they were all up on the stand anyway. At least they were semi-well behaved. I actually had to leave the stand near the end of the meeting because Evan threw a fit. He was tired and hot - the a/c in our building doesn't work very well. Granny and I went to Primary to see Daniel give his first talk. He was so excited he could hardly stand it. He did a good job, I'm proud of him.
Evan has an appointment on Tuesday afternoon to get his head measured for his helmet. We have to go back another time to get him molded. I wish they could do it all in one visit and save me the gas and time it takes to get downtown. I feel like such a mooch always asking my friends to watch the boys and then never being able to return the favor because we live so far out. I really would like to return the favor, maybe I will have to find other ways.

Three talks in one Sunday. Man what a load. I bet you guys did really good. Did Gary and Eric roll the paint? If I had known they were going to paint we would have let them take the sprayer. It saves so much money and time. Let us know if there's another painting session and we'll see what we can do to help.
