Check up, Check up

Daniel and Evan both had check ups with Dr. Allred today. Daniel was so excited all morning long. He loves going to the doctor's. He just thinks it is a major treat to go and get a check up. Oh well, I won't tell him any different. Luckily he didn't get any shots this time to convince him other wise. He was actually due for 5 shots but Dr. Allred says he likes to wait until they start kindergarten to give those. Fine with me! He is averaging out in his percentages. He weighed in at 37.6 pounds (65%) and is 40.25 inches tall (50%). His body mass index is 16.3 (72%). He gained 3.5 pounds over last year and grew a quarter of an inch. His growth has really slowed down. I guess I am used to them growing so fast that when they slow down it is a bit of a shock.
Evan, unfortunately, didn't leave without shots. He got three, plus an oral vaccine. Poor little guy. He gained a pound and a half since his 4-month check up and grew almost an inch since then. He weighs 15.5 pounds (9%) and is 27.25 inches long (68%). His head measured at 17.1 inches (33%). Dr. Allred asked me about his helmet and was glad he will be getting it this next week. I believe his comment was something like "Wow. He's got a flat head."
Tonight is a belated date night for our anniversary. My parents are watching the boys while we take in a temple session.
