Huh, what do you know

My calling turned out to be nothing what I expected. They called me to be a member of the Primary board & to be the Wolf Scout leader. They are the second grader boys. I am excited to be out of a formal teaching calling (as my last five callings have been), but the more I think about it, the more overwhelmed I get. I know nothing about scouting! Yes, I have three sons, but I have no brothers. I didn't even know we have to meet weekly! I sure have a lot to learn, but I will have a lot of fun in the process. I think that Daniel will be my youngest scout - I don't think I'll be able to exclude him from the activities. I welcome the experience, as it will prepare me for my own boys scouting years.

That will be a neat challenge and I think you will do great! Daniel will have a great time helping you.

Like you I don't know anything about the program. I also didn't have any brothers, I can only imagine how overwhelmed I would feel if in your place. Good luck! I'm sure you'll be great at it!

It'll be an adventure and you'll do great! I had both Bears and Wolves, but there weren't a lot of them. It'll be good that you can work on one advancement/year at a time. Scheduling will be good because once you've done it for a year, you can repeat the same activities yearly. Trust me, it doesn't matter if you had brothers or not. I did and I still didn't know anything about scouts. But you learn and it does become fun. Let me know if you need any suggestions. I enjoyed the calling.
