Jackson's Turn

I have to admit that I wasn't too excited to potty train Jackson. This is mostly because it has been such a long process with Daniel. Now that Daniel is finally done training (we hope), I decided that it was time to start Jack. That, and we were running low on his diapers.
With Daniel I tried to start his training unsuccessfully a couple of times, then I bought this e-book "
3 Day Potty Training." Reading got my hopes up, and my energy, so I tried it. Well, it was a good start, but that was over a year ago and Daniel is just now accident free. I liked the method though, so I am using again with Jack. The first day (Saturday) was as expected - lots of wet underpants (we quit diapers cold turkey). But yesterday I kept him home from church (Gary took Daniel) and was able to give him my full attention for a couple of hours. With lots to drink, and constant watching, he was able to go in the potty for the first time and is really getting the hang of it. He has had two accident-free naps and woke up dry this morning. He has had three accidents today, but is getting better at recognizing his body's signals. We are still working on him telling me he has to go before he feels the wetness, but I am sure to take him potty lots during the day. He is so happy to be going potty like his big brother. His pants don't fit like they used to (no diaper bulk to hold them up!), but it is nice to not have to buy diapers for two any more. One thing Jack has going for him that Daniel really didn't is that Jack hates to have wet (or dirty) pants. It didn't really bother Daniel but when Jack had a #2 accident last night (his only one so far) he cried it was so yucky feeling. So my hopes are high that Jackson's training won't take as long as Daniels did.

I was just looking at that book last week, but hesitated because it is so mysterious. I would love a full review before I take the plunge with a purchase so any feed back would be great! Good luck with the rest of potty training. Your boys are so cute.

Good luck! I must say potty training is by far one of my least favorite things about being a parent.

Yay Jackson! I can't believe you were paying for two sets of diapers. Because I felt like Kyrah was ready, I refused to buy two sets and potty trained her. I have to say girls are so much easier. Jackson sounds like he's well on his way for a boy. Way to go!
