We got some new (to us) furniture today. Gary inherited his Grandma Gray's dining table and buffet. We have had the buffet for about a year now, but we just got the matching dining table and chairs today. It is nice to have at least two pieces of matching furniture in the house. The table has six chairs too. The table and chairs will be a nice change from our old table and our mix of folding chairs and Grandma Powell's old kitchen chairs. The pieces belonged to Gary's grandparents, I asked his Mom how old they are and she said she thinks they were probably bought used around 1930. I like them - simple but elegant. One day we'll refinish the table and chairs. But for now - we have a nice dining room set!

I think they are beautiful, how nice!
You guys always keep busy with such fun activities. I wish I had the energy to do the same. I'm just glad that my kids (for right now) are content playing in our backyard. It's nice to see the furniture being handed down. I think it would be gorgeous to refinish it sometime but gosh that's a lot of work. I only did a few planks and drawers for our bed and I wanted to die. Good luck and congrats on the furniture!
