Bottomless Pit

Anyone with a four year-old boy knows that they are constantly hungry. Daniel tells me all day long that he is hungry, or "starving". I'll have you all know that I do feed my child, many times throughout the day as a matter of fact. He is not malnourished! He is just a bottomles pit (and he's not even a teenager yet.) Hence my embarrassment while grocery shopping the other day. We had passed something in the store that he wanted to get and I told him no. He proceeded to throw a royal fit (totally not like him!) and began screaming "Mama I'm hungry!" in the very sad, very loud tone only a four year old can produce. As he continued his racket (and I ignored the fit) the other shoppers were looking at me like I starve the kid! Honestly folks! I DO feed my boys. I just don't give in to tantrums, especially in public.

I just have to ask the ??--did your mother treat you like that? Be honest, now.

I'm so sorry for you Brittany. I don't give in either and get the same looks. I try my best to give looks of sympathy to the mothers when I see it happening. I hope they take it as a look of solidarity but who knows. Good luck!

I'm proud of you! I wouldn't have given in to it either. Moms score 1, kids score 0.
