Busy & "Mama's not a barber"

Let the busiest season of all begin! I have been working on lots of projects lately. I have been doing design work for my Mom's work, and an annual design project for a friend of my Moms. Then there is the craft I volunteered to be in charge of for Relief Society Super Craft Night (tonight). Tomorrow if the Christmas Boutique where I'll be purveying my Christmas Cards (still need to finish up my stuff for that), and Saturday we are having a Utah-BYU football game party (wanna come?). I am still working on Christmas projects and the usual duties of keeping a home clean and three boys (and a sweet hubby) happy and fed. Nothing really exciting to report on though! I have had two Christmas Card orders, and am going to be putting my newest project (Frogpaw Family Trees) up for sale on my design blog soon. Watch for them!
Last week I decided to give the boys haircuts. This is Evan before his haircut. Jackson's went fine, though it is a bit choppy in a couple of places. Daniel had to get a buzz because the lame scissors that came with our clippers don't work on his hair - it is just too thick! He was doing fine until I nicked him. I didn't even realize I'd nicked him on the neck until I nicked his ear & that started bleeding all over. Ugh. I felt horrible! I've never nicked anyone before! I think I have the guard too far down. He is okay now though, and his hair looks good. Evan's haircut was a whole different story. His hair is somewhere between Jack and Daniels (for now). He really needed a trim, but I was afraid to use the clippers on him after having nicked Dan. So I tried the scissors and it turned out really bad. He was squirming and screaming - it was horrible! Luckily his helmet covers it, so it isn't too noticeable. I could have done a decent job with the clippers, but Gary didn't want to cut it that short yet. Maybe next time. Anyone willing to trade a decent haircut for Evan for a Christmas Card design?

I cut Weezy's hair really well the other day.. Surprised myself how well I did... But that is girly hair... not boy hair. Sorry, I can't help you out. Good luck on your busy season.. We are hitting it over here too... Craziness. See ya later!

I'm still learning on Jayden's hair and my husband's hair. I'm comforted to know that I can just buzz the whole thing if I mess up really bad but I'm still fighting with Jayden to even get him in the seat. He hates getting his hair cut and I've never nicked him. At least you have willing boys (for the most part)
