American Idol is back, much to the pleasure of the Jones household. We love American Idol. It's not that we are pop culture enthusiasts or anything, the show just really entertains us. And I mean all of us. Daniel gets the most excited. He is still a big fan of Jason Castro from last season and was very disappointed when we told him Jason wasn't on this season. Or so we thought. He showed up on tonight's episode much to Daniel's joy. When they aired the "teaser" clip to the segment with Jason & his brother Mike, Daniel jumped up, hopped up and down, jabbering about Jason Castro, ran around in glee and gave me hugs and kisses. My description doesn't do it justice. I have seriously never seen him so excited. You'd have thought that ... I can't even think of a good enough superlative (is that the right word?), he was that excited! We are really in the dark as to why Daniel likes him so much. Gary says that maybe we shouldn't watch it anymore, it's too traumatic for Daniel. Yeah right.
GD14: The early birds can have their worms. What kind of a reward is that any way? I am so very thankful that my boys don't have a super early internal alarm clock. Dan's friend Charlie gets up every morning at 5am. Five o'clock in the morning!! My boys usually get up between 8 and 8"30 and for that I will be eternally grateful (at least until it ends.)

How adorable. Dan's so cute. I was surprised that his brother wasn't too half bad. Did you hear the guy from Taylorsville? He sounded pretty good. I think.

I wish Jeff liked American Idol. I love it, but he refuses to let me watch it while he is around :( That's really cute about Dan! He is so animated.
