My family tries to have a family dinner every month. This month it is to celebrate all of our January birthdays (there are four!). We all bring something for dinner, the hosting house usually makes the main course. Tonight it is at Susan's house and we're having chicken enchiladas. I made fresh salsa and will be make fresh tortilla chips too. I am getting hungry just thinking about it! Speaking of food, I made some amazing chocolate mint cookies yesterday. I can't stop eating them! Good thing the Primary activity I made them for only needed a dozen. I've posted the recipe on the food blog.
GD25: I am thankful that so many of our family live so close. It is such a blessing for the boys to see their grandparents so often and for us all to see everyone else more. I am also blessed with wonderful parents who are always willing to watch the boys if I need it. Thanks Mom & Dad.

That's so great that you get together to do that often. How is your sister doing? Is she still nearby?
It was so much fun on Saturday! Thank you for coming and bringing such yummy chips and salsa!
I loved the cookies. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Mom
