Time to start the garden

Gary has been gung ho about our garden for this year. He has been reading online about when to start your seeds for transplant, when to plant certain things, etc. So yesterday we went out in search of seeds to start our seedlings for transplant. We went to Market Square (NPS) first. We went to the industrial section and hit the jackpot. They had a box full of last year's seed for ten cents each. So we bought over 100 packets. We will use some this year and save some for future use. We got both vegetables and flowers. I am excited to get them planted. Gary figures that we spent $10 for $150-$180 worth of seeds. Cool. What seeds we couldn't find there we picked up at IFA, who also had a sale on their seeds for 10 cents a packet. So there's your bargain for today!
Last night we took the boys to a Korean restaurant (E Jo) for dinner. Gary had gone to this place for lunch at work this last week and he wanted to take me there. We took the boys with us since we didn't have a sitter and they did great. They ate everything (even the kimchee) and didn't complain at all. The restaurant cooked the meat right at our table. They have grills built in to most of the table tops. I wish I would have brought my camera! The boys thought that was so neat to see it cooking in the middle of the table. It was a fun dinner. If you go I suggest going at lunch - you can get a better deal then.

GD45: I'm thankful that my boys are adventurous eaters. The only thing that Daniel doesn't like is cereal. Even Evan was eating veggie tempura at the restaurant last night. Jackson is pretty much an all-around good eater too. I can't think of anything that he doesn't like off the top of my head.

Man you find the deals!

Is it really that time already?
I aspire to aspiring to be a good gardener.

I guess I better start planning, or planning to plan ;)!

Btw, I care if you post! I don't comment very often, but I do read and like what you have to say!!!

do you have an address on that place? I really need to get some cheap seeds and I planned on starting soon too. We have to bring in a lot of dirt so that's going to cost about everything we have. Let me know soon, thanks!
