More updates

Yesterday I mentioned that I was thankful for our home warranty. This past week we have had our kitchen disposal replaced, our water heater replaced, the dishwasher fixed and the furnace room drain cleared - all through our home warranty. We only had to pay the deductible for each item. So it was a bargain. The best part is that our realtor bought us the warranty when we bought the house. He was so great. Another bit to the story is less than happy trails. When we bought the house we had a new furnace and A/C installed. Well, when the plumbers were here looking at the water heater they pointed out to us that the flue for our furnace wasn't installed properly and was leaking water at almost all the joints. One joint isn't even fully joined. Needless to say we were pretty ticked. I called Superior Water & Air (the company that installed it) and they went a tech over to look at it. He wasn't very impressed with the install either. I believe his exact words were a very sarcastic "Nice install." He couldn't fix it but they sent someone the next day to fix it. I didn't let them. Why? Because we want to talk with a manager first and have them come out and see what a poor job their installers did. I wonder how well the A/C is installed now. Gary is getting the loverly job of contacting a manager to come and check it out (and get an earful I'm sure.) All, enough about that.
I didn't mention yesterday that Evan has a new skill - he can clap! It is so cute. He looks at your quizically if you clap at him & expect him to clap back. He does though, eventually. He is also jabbering away. Mostly it is just random syllables, but he is getting close to actual words. His favorite word today was "no." He tries to repeat things we say and sometimes it sounds like he's getting close. He is also starting to climb the stair between our entryway and living room really well. Getting down it is still mostly an exercise in falling, but he'll get the hang of it. At night, right before bed, he gets hyper. It is so funny. He'll get all giggly and try to get you to copy things he does. He is developing such a fun little personality.
Dan had his Valentine's Day party today at pre-school. I think Jack was jealous of all the great treats he brought home. Dan did share a little, but I did make sure Jack had his own box of Sweethearts.

GD43: I'm grateful for my boys. Even though they test my patience (and too often it fails) I am so blessed to have them. I am one lucky Mama!
