Birthday Celebrations

It seems that we like to stretch out the birthday celebrations at our house. Evan's lasted the entire weekend! On Friday, the big day, we took the boys out to eat at Papa's favorite Chinese joint, Little World. We had tried to find an eat-in Pizza Hut, but they are all gone in our area (except for one each in Tooele and Park City - too far!) I'm not too sure Evan would have chosen it, but he didn't really have an opinion so Little World it was.

After dinner we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for games. It was the first time we had taken the boys and they LOVED it. They were very upset when our tokens ran out (after two hours!) and it was time to go home.  The boys all had tons of fun playing games.

Evan's favorite part was putting tokens in the machines.

He also love watching this one game with spinning bugs. If he ever wandered off we knew right where to find him, LOL.

We gave him a Lightning McQueen pillow and a little bulldozer. He loved the pillow and hugged it all the way home!

On Saturday Nana came over and had lunch with us. She brought gifts for Evan and the boys had lots of fun with them for the rest of the afternoon (and beyond!). Dan & Jack gave Evan lots of "help" opening his gifts.

He loves the (loud, annoying!) musical guitar, can you tell?

Sunday we had a cake & ice cream party for Evan with my family. Evan loved his Elmo cake I made him, though he was more interested in drinking punch than eating cake.

He did manage to get some chocolate ice cream down though!

Then he opened presents. We tried to keep the other kids from "helping" too much. They were like a pack of wolves surrounding a wounded deer! They wanted to help him so badly, LOL!

He especially loved the pillow he got from Aunt Susan!

It was a great birthday for Evan. Thanks to all who made it so fun!

This is so fun! Isn't it great how kids always like to "help" each other with their presents? I love that! I also love that Evan had a birth-"weekend" ... it's so fun to carry it out a little longer. How often do you get a whole day to celebrate yourself? May as well make it longer! :){btw- the Elmo cake is adorable!}

I love the picture of Evan with his race car. That's so cute. Sorry we couldn't make it, It's been crazy trying to get ready for another baby. I'm not even sure who Craig is anymore. ;)
