We got our first snowfall of the year, in the valley, last night. We woke up to about half an inch of the white stuff. Too bad I'm pregnant and can't go snowboarding - we haven't been since we've been married. I don't think we've ever been together, in fact. Hopefully we can take Dan sledding when the snow gets a little deeper. Maybe after Christmas. I think he would enjoy it if he keeps warm. Of course, it would probably be Gary sledding with him and me taking pictures and filming. Either way, it sounds fun.
I had a faith-building experience today. I sat down last night to balance our checkbook and we didn't have much to pay bills etc. But I wrote out our tithing/fast offering check and I thought about which bill the $70 could pay. We had a stack of bills waiting to be paid, and only $130 in our checking. We turned our tithing in this morning at church, and when we got to my parents house tonight there were two checks for us in the mail. The amount of those let me pay all but two of the bills we had, with some left over for groceries, etc. Plus, when I got home there was an email from eBay saying that someone had bought one of our cameras using the "Buy it now" feature. How's that for blessing turn around time? Pretty awesome I think! Nothing like an experience like that to stengthen your testimony of tithing.
