Don't try this at home...

We attempted to sit through two sacrament meetings today with a 2-year old and a 6-month old, the two year old not having a nap. It wasn't pretty. The second meeting was the longest sacrament meeting ever - I swear! We had gone to Gary's parents ward to hear his brother Russ and his wife Tracie speak, then to Granny & Opa's house afterward for lunch. We would have stayed there if I hadn't had to teach Sunday School. After Sunday School at our ward we decided to stay for Sacrament meeting, since Gary had to do his clerk duties after the meeting anyway. Dan did okay before the meeting started, but then one of the little African girls in our ward came and sat next to us and was eating candy in front of him. He just stared at her, thinking he might get some, but no such luck. As the meeting went on, he got more and more fussy, as did Jack. I ended up taking Jack out, but I could hear Dan calling "Mama" through the speaker sytem in the foyer. Needless to say he went down for a nap when we got home. Bonus for me though - I don't have to teach again until Otober 8 due to Stake & General Conferences. Yay!
Dan said something funny tonight. He got a peek at the hair on Gary's tummy and he pokes at it and says "Yucky."
