Gary was sustained and set apart as the Elders Quorum President in our ward today. We have known about the call for two weeks. I knew he was going to be called when he told me the Stake President wanted to meet with him. It is a tremendous calling, especially in a ward like ours where half the elders are less-active or inactive, but I have confidence he can do a great job. Both of our parents came to see him set apart. They all stayed for Sunday School & my lesson. I ran out of time, again. The lessons aren't really that long in writing, but they seem to take a whole lot longer when I'm giving them. :) I did discover an added benefit to teaching Sunday School this week. When I got up to bear my testimony I wasn't nervous! I even had to sit on the stand and I was fine. I guess teaching Sunday School has increased my comfort zone as far as public speaking goes.
